Squirrels, pigeons and seagulls are in for a surprise when hundreds of children from schools across Portsmouth visit Victoria Park for the very first Cultural Carnival.
It will be a morning of unforgettable music and entertainment as primary-aged children bring the park to life with flags, costumes, songs and streamers. The procession will start in the Guildhall Square with drummers and Maypole dancers opening the Carnival before the children begin the tour of the park.
The event will include a very special surprise from the Royal Marines Band Service, who will be performing in their own unmistakable fashion at the end of the Carnival.
The Portsmouth Cultural Carnival will be a truly memorable occasion that will bring colour and spectacle to the heart of Portsmouth.
