Rachel Andrews

Music Teacher

Rachel has been working as peripatetic music teacher for Portsmouth Music Service since November 2008. She works with Key Stage 1, 2 and 3, as well as Early Years Foundation Stage, and as part of her roles and responsibilities within the Service she teaches music curriculum lessons to Key Stage 1 and 2, and Early Years Foundation Stage. She also teaches whole class wider opportunities, and individual/small group tuition, teaching children violin, viola, clarinet, flute, djembe drums and recorder. Rachel is also the Director of the Beginner Orchestra, and the Assistant Director of Portsmouth Plays. Prior to joining the Music Service Rachel worked as a class teacher across the Primary age range, where she was also responsible for co-ordinating music in the schools and running musical clubs within the school.
