About The Portsmouth Guildhall

A registered charity that is serious about music, art, education and entertainment. Situated in the heart of Portsmouth, the Guildhall is not only a 2,500 capacity music venue, but also provides a programme of education, learning and participatory activities to engage the whole community.

The Guildhall's overarching aim is that 'music should help transform lives', and to thereby;

 

  • Encourage increased music appreciation
  • Improve levels of music participation
  • To identify pathways into music education and future employment
  • To target young and old in hard to reach areas of the city

What we offer

The Portsmouth Guildhall offers bespoke workshops in both performance and offstage skills development, tailored to your needs.

Pre-concert events

Through working with partners who come in to the venue, the Guildhall offer various pre-concert events, such as interactive talks and workshops.

Concerts and Shows

From Classical and Jazz, to Rock and Pop, the Guildhall offers a programme that will inspire and entertain.

The Guildhall has a range of exhibitions that are free to the public.
