Infant Voices Festival brings Portsmouth schools together for joyful musical celebration

Seventeen schools from across Portsmouth came together for our annual Infant Voices Festival, celebrating the joy of music and performance with hundreds of young singers taking to the stage.

This year’s festival featured songs from Bombay’s Big Adventure, taking young performers on a lively musical journey across Portsmouth. Pupils sang songs inspired by some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, from the Spinnaker Tower to Clarence Pier.

The festivals showcased the enthusiasm, confidence and creativity of Portsmouth’s youngest musicians. Throughout the week, children sang together in community songs and also had the opportunity to perform a solo song as a school, sharing their own voices and musical talents with fellow young singers.

The week proved to be a fantastic celebration of collaboration, bringing together schools and teachers from across the city through the power of music. Events like the Infant Voices Festival help to inspire a lifelong love of music in young people while giving them the unforgettable experience of performing together as part of a large musical community.
