Infant Voices Showcase 2026 at Portsmouth Guildhall

This year’s Infant Voices Showcase at Portsmouth Guildhall, bringing together hundreds of young singers from schools across the city for an unforgettable evening of music and storytelling.

Bombay’s Big Adventure followed the journey of Bombay the Cat as he explored Portsmouth, visiting some of the city’s most recognisable landmarks along the way. Guided by our wonderful compère and storyteller, Ashleigh Howard (Head Teacher of Mayfield School), children brought the story to life through a series of songs and performances, from the lively “Spinnaker Salsa” to a charming musical retelling of Puss in Boots during a visit to Paulsgrove Library.

The event celebrated not only the musical talents of Portsmouth’s youngest performers, but also their creativity, confidence and enthusiasm. Teachers, families and audience members were treated to a joyful performance that highlighted the power of music in bringing communities together.

Adding to the evening’s creativity, the talented team from Seekers Create joined the event, providing interactive opportunities for children to engage beyond the stage. Pupils contributed their doodling skills to a large-scale Bombay’s Big Adventure doodle board, creating a collaborative piece that reflected the imagination and spirit of the performance.

The Infant Voices Showcase continues to be a key event in the Portsmouth Music Hub calendar, offering young children the chance to perform in a professional venue, work collaboratively, and experience the excitement of live music-making on a large scale.

Portsmouth Music Hub extends its thanks to all participating schools, staff, families and partners who helped make the event such a success, and looks forward to welcoming young performers again next year.
