Rock The Rooms
Rock is more than fashion. Rock is more than a band playing a couple of songs. Rock is rebellion. Rock is power. Rock is strength. Rock is the heart pounding as you hear that amazing guitar solo that stops the clock. Rock is a sense of belonging to something; a community larger than you think. Rock is emotion. Rock is dynamic and Rock is the thrill of going to a concert you'll never forget.
Victory and Warrior Rock Bands, part of the renowned Portsmouth Music Hub, return to the Wedgewood Rooms for a night of exhilarating sounds, heart-pumping music and an electrifying atmosphere not to be missed.
Young people from Portsmouth come together with guitars, bass and drums, with the sound of voices and songs that shake the room, and it's your chance to be part of a night of unforgettable music from some of the best young Rock musicians in Portsmouth.

The workshop with bring together children from across the city at the New Theatre Royal followed by a performance of the Opera Mouse. The opera is about Tilly Mouse who lives under an opera house, and she just loves to sing! Her dream is to perform on stage. But whenever anybody sees her, they scream and run away. With determination, imagination, and help from her friends, Tilly proves that even a mouse can be a star! The show features songs and arias from several operas, including The Magic Flute. Opera Mouse is a blend of puppets, audience participation and actual opera singing.

Classics from the big band canon sit alongside specially commissioned new arrangements by band members and leading contemporary UK composers. From hard-swinging rhythm section to a raft of hugely talented young soloists, this is a big band in fine form.
